Leicester City will battle Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium this Saturday.
The Foxes are winless in the Premier League and will need a masterclass to upset the Gunners in London. Here’s the predicted Leicester City lineup to face Arsenal on September 28.
Leicester City predicted lineup vs Arsenal
Goalkeeper
Mads Hermansen
Hermansen made some strong saves against Everton last weekend and has proven to be Premier League quality. Despite Danny Ward’s heroics in Leicester’s Carabao Cup tie on Tuesday, the Denmark international will start in goal.
Defenders
James Justin, Caleb Okoli, Wout Faes, Victor Kristiansen
An unchanged backline from last weekend’s draw against the Toffees. Okoli and Faes have formed a strong partnership and will likely be Leicester’s first-choice centre-back pairing for the season. Ricardo Pereira started against Walsall but played as an inverted fullback, limiting his influence in the game.
With Steve Cooper showing no signs of changing the tactics to accommodate the Portuguese, Justin and Kristiansen are set to keep their places in the lineup.
Midfielders
Harry Winks, Oliver Skipp; Wilfred Ndidi
Cooper is likely to choose a defensive midfield trio in a tough away fixture at the Emirates Stadium. Ndidi is in good form and should start as number ten. His defensive contributions were excellent against Everton, and he will look to disrupt play in the final third against the Gunners.
Forwards
Jordan Ayew, Jamie Vardy, Stephy Mavididi
Although Abdul Fatawu had a good game against Walsall, the manager may opt to start Ayew. The 32-year-old is excellent at holding up the ball and winning fuels, a valuable trait for a tough away game. Vardy has a rich scoring history against Arsenal and will look to add another to the tally. Arsenal graduate Mavididi returns to the Emirates Stadium to take on his former side and may be the difference-maker for Leicester, given his rich vein of form.
