Timo Werner is on verge of joining Tottenham Hotspur, and while Spurs’ fans get to know their new ace – they also welcome his girlfriend & soon to be wife Paula Lense.
Timo Werner has been dating Paula since 2017 after meeting her during his first spell with RB Leipzig, Paula is daughter of sports psychologist Sascha Lense who used to be involved with Leipzig then. She moved to London with Timo when he joined Chelsea, and looks like she’d again board that flight as Werner moves up to North London.
Ralf Ragnick infamously hired Sascha Lense at Manchester United in bid to lure Timo Werner to Old Trafford, although no move materialised.
There isn’t much information available on Paula, as she loves her life rather private – much like her primary instagram account. Although she has a second account where she regularly posts updates about her life and some cool snap shots from her travels around the world. And much like the updates, one came at the start of 2024 where she initiated that her and Timo have been engaged for a while. This is the caption that succeeded a black and white picture the pair:

Following the post, numerous congratulations quickly poured in, with well-wishes coming from notable figures such as Sara Gündogan, the wife of Werner’s national team colleague Ilkay Gündogan, and Anika Neuer, the wife of goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. Sophia Weber, the girlfriend of Arsenal professional Kai Havertz, also joined in to extend her congratulations.
