Liverpool is set to lose four important regulars by the end of this season. Roberto Firmino, James Milner, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will leave Anfield this summer.

All of them are in their final year of contract and on the verge of bidding farewell to the Merseyside club as free agents. While Roberto Firmino had already decided to leave Anfield in March, the midfield trio too have decided to give an end to their long spells for the club. Liverpool’s home game against Aston Villa this Saturday will be their last appearance as Reds.

This news allows the club to prepare for a public farewell of all four players just like they gave a guard of honour to Divock Origi and the likes of Gini Wijnaldum in the preceding years.

Where will we see them next season?

James Milner, who had a season accompanied by hamstring injury played 23 games for Liverpool out of a possible 25 and has his contract expiring on July 1. He will still be in the Premier League playing for the Seagulls. Brighton have always been fond of players like Milner who control the field and act as the bridge between defence/attack. De Zerbi’s style of play will also suit Milner and we can surely see the name of ex-captain of Liverpool being chanted and echoed at the Amex stadium.

Naby Keita, on the other hand, will most likely travel to Germany. The Guinean midfield has gained interests from a few clubs including RB Leipzig: his former club.

Chamberlain too like his compatriot Milner may be seen in England next year and that too donning the same jersey as his partner. Brighton are said to be interested in him and De Zorbi would surely want to add two champions who know how to win important games in his squad. He also has gained interests from Aston Villa and Newcastle United who are equally yearning to sign him.

Roberto Firmino’s destination is yet to be confirmed. The Brazilian striker was heavily linked to Barcelona last month but the Blaugranas have dismissed every speculation by claiming that they are not at all interested in the 31-year-old striker. Chances are that we may see him playing for Milan next season.
