We take a look at the life of Kai Havertz and his girlfriend Sophia Weber:
Kai Havertz is back amongst the goals for his club Chelsea as the German has been the highlight of the season so far amidst the underwhelming campaign the Blues are having. The 23 year old moved to West London in the pandemic hit 2020/21 season wherein the Blues spent north of 250 million pounds in signing players with Havertz being the most expensive player amongst them all. With a 80 million euros plus add ons deal agreed with Bayer Leverkusen for his transfer, Kai became Chelsea’s most expensive player of all time eclipsing Kepa Arrizabalaga’s 80 million euros price tag.
His performances so far in a Chelsea shirt haven’t been what the fans would have hoped for even though he has some crucial goals in big games particularly the one that will go down in the club’s history – THAT goal against Manchester City in the Champions League final. Though he has had some struggles settling to life at the club, his girlfriend Sophia Weber has been his pillar of strength sticking by her German partner through it all.
Weber is just a year younger and shares the same birthplace as Havertz as they were both born in Aachen, Germany. The two were born in the same neighbourhood and are childhood best friends which eventually turned into a love relationship. By profession, she is a model while also performing at various shows. She is often on her social media travelling to various places for work purposes along with her friends. The duo live in London with their 2 dogs one of whom is fondly called “Baloo”- a name kept by Kai which he revealed on Chelsea’s YouTube channel.
The lovely couple were last seen together on the pitch during the post-match celebrations after Chelsea’s Champions League triumph in 2020 wherein Havertz netted the winner. Kai’s club teammate Timo Werner and his girlfriend Julia Nagler were also a part of the celebration and the latter’s girlfriend is also Sophia’s close mates as the two are seen often posting pictures together on social media.
With their bond starting in their early childhood, Sophia and Kai have come a long way and are still going strong together. Wishing them the very best in their future endeavours.
