Enzo Fernandez is enjoying a wonderful start to his time at Chelsea, and while Stamford Bridge gets used to him — we would like a take a dive into his personal life, and introduce Chelsea faithful to his girlfriend Valentina Cervantes.
He became the “hot topic” after the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar wherein the midfielder’s excellent performances in his country, Argentina’s run to winning the competition helped him win the FIFA Young Player of the Tournament at the age of just 21. Not many of the footballing greats can boast of having such an achievement during the initial years of their careers what Enzo has managed to achieve already in his career being a World Champion.
Plying his trade for SL Benfica in the Portugal at club level, plenty of European clubs took notice of the young talent and Chelsea were the club that managed to strike a deal in the January transfer window to secure the services of the San Martin born in a deal which has made him the most expensive footballer in Premier League history. The transfer fee of 120 million euros eclipsed the fee Manchester City paid for Jack Grealish last summer which was around 110 million euros.
Enzo settled well at his new club and has been the Blues’ engine in midfield ever since his debut against Fulham in February. He has instantly become the fans’ favourite player due to his commanding presence in the midfield and his jaw-dropping ball distribution during games has already got the fans comparing him to an ex-Blue Cesc Fabregas who was also admired for his pinpoint passing from the middle of the park.
The player is certainly enjoying life on the pitch and looks like that is thanks to his girlfriend Valentina Cervantes who has been a pillar of strength and support for Enzo off the pitch. Valentina, born in the capital Buenos Aires, is 22 years old and is an English teacher by profession but had to sacrifice her professional commitments to accompany Enzo Fernandez during competitions. The duo made their first public appearance during the post-match celebrations of the FIFA World Cup final in which Enzo is seen posing with his partner and 3-year-old daughter, Olivia.
Valentina has a social media blog with over 500k followers and documents her daily life and shares photos and videos of her daughter Olivia. She also makes posts to inspire young mothers by giving them advice of motherhood and is certainly an inspiration for many as she has been with Enzo since he wasn’t well known when they were both 19.
