According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur are looking to bring Franck Kessie on a free transfer from AC Milan. Fabio Paratici has already conducted talks with the player and his representatives.
The 24-year-old was offered a five-year contract which would see him earn £132,000 a week. The current contract of Franck Kessie at AC Milan will expire next summer.
Though he was offered a contract extension by AC Milan in the past, he does not want to extend his stay at the club. Many other clubs in Italy are monitoring the situation and they could make a move in the coming days. But it is hard for any club to move for him in this window because of the financial situation revolving.
Franck Kessie made a move to AC Milan from Atalanta in 2017. AC Milan eventually signed him on a loan deal with an obligation to buy. The 24-year-old has so far made 184 appearances for the Milan based club. He featured in 37 games in Serie A last season.
Spurs are looking at Franck Kessie as a replacement for Tanguy Ndombele. The latter has been frozen out by the manager Nuno Espirito Santo. It is also being reported that Tanguy Ndombele could be leaving Tottenham Hotspur in the coming days before the summer transfer window ends. Juventus is a likely destination for him since the Italian club is showing interest in him.
The North London club is already looking sharp under Nuno Espirito Santo in the new season. Tottenham Hotspur are now at fifth position in the points table after winning back-to-back matches. Tottenham Hotspur surprised defending champions Manchester City in the first match and they sealed a victory away to Wolves on Sunday.
