João Cancelo has been making strides of progress under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, playing not only on his preferred right but also as left (full-back). He was much anticipated at Euro 2020 helping Cristiano Ronaldo & Co with his offensive abilities and his defensive duty, though was ruled out of the tournament after contracting the virus going around everywhere.
Despite that major distress, there is much to be happy about in the Cancelo family as the Portuguese superstar is engaged with his long-time girlfriend Daniela Machado.
Daniela Machado and João Cancelo are childhood sweethearts, as they started dating back in 2011 which was even before Cancelo began his professional career. The couple have been together ever since, with brief times in Spain, Italy and now in England.
She is one of the famous Manchester City wags, as the 25-year-old is very active on Instagram constantly giving the fans glimpses of her life.
And Cancelo is a lucky man, with the pair sharing a lovely child, a daughter, Alicia Cancelo – born on December 24, 2019.
Now, the couple are spending the off-season relaxing in the Maldives when João popped up the question and “SHE SAID YES”.
