Denmark won the UEFA Euro 1992 tournament, and the current crop of players will be hoping to get as far as they can, if not win the cup, in the upcoming Euro 2020. Denmark are a team filled with talented and experienced players. However, Kasper Schmeichel will no doubt be the main man for his nation this summer. Fresh off an FA Cup win with Leicester, Schmeichel is in fine form and has come good for his national team on many previous occasions too. His heroics in the penalty shootout in the eventual defeat to Croatia in the 2018 World Cup were lauded by many and he will no doubt be in the spotlight yet again for his team this tournament. With a quality backline playing in front of him, Schmeichel won’t be under as much pressure. He will be hoping to match his father’s 1992 heroics and get a shock win for his nation.
