Denmark won the UEFA Euro 1992 tournament, and the current crop of players will be hoping to get as far as they can, if not win the cup, in the upcoming Euro 2020. Denmark have some talented players in their squad and under the leadership of manager Kasper Hjulmand, they will be gearing up to take the competition by storm. While they are not expected to go deep into the tournament, the whole nation will be hoping they can troublesome the top teams and give their fans something to cheer for.

The Red and White have been drawn in a tough group with FIFA World No.1 team Belgium, World Cup 2018 quarter-finalists Russia and Finland. While Belgium are the favorites to top the group and even win the competition, there could be a mighty scrap between Russia and Denmark for the second spot. Both those teams have the quality and players to get past the group stage, so it could all come down to the final game of the group.

Finland should not be discounted either as they are no pushovers and will give all 3 teams a tough time. It is certainly an exciting group and all fans will be no doubt looking forward to a thrilling tournament with fine football on display.

With brilliant players like Kasper Schmeichel, Simon Kjaer, Thomas Delaney, Christian Eriksen, Kasper Dolberg and others, Denmark fans will be expecting their team to do well in the Euros. Even though a final appearance may seem out of sight, the Scandinavian nation should go deep into the tournament.

Denmark are a team filled with talented and experienced players. However, Kasper Schmeichel will no doubt be the main man for his nation this summer. Fresh off an FA Cup win with Leicester, Schmeichel is in fine form and has come good for his national team on many previous occasions too. His heroics in the penalty shootout in the eventual defeat to Croatia in the 2018 World Cup were lauded by many and he will no doubt be in the spotlight yet again for his team this tournament. With a quality backline playing in front of him, Schmeichel won’t be under as much pressure. He will be hoping to match his father’s 1992 heroics and get a shock win for his nation.
