Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma as a potential long-term heir for the 33 year-old Spurs captain Hugo Lloris.
According to Todofichajes, Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on the Italy international, who is also believed to be a target for French side Paris Saint-Germain.
After making his debut at the age of 16, the Italian No.1 goalkeeper has represented the Serie A giants on 219 occasions in all competitions, including 16 appearances during the 2020-21 campaign.
As it stands, the Italian would be free to negotiate a contract with clubs at the start of 2021, although Milan are still thought to be confident of convincing him to sign a fresh deal. While France’s World Cup winning captain Lloris has just 18 months left to run on his current contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and will turn 34 on December 26.
The Lilywhites do have Paulo Gazzaniga, who impressed during Lloris’ injury last season but it remains unclear whether Spurs trust him to become number one.
