The transfer saga which kept many of us occupied all throughout the last season is back underway to yet again. Wilfred Zaha is linked with Arsenal, again, and this time he seems desperate for a move and Crystal Palace are ready to sanction a move if their valuation is met. The Ivorian international is an Arsenal fan since childhood and he’s reportedly once again looking for his dream move to the Emirates.

Ironically, Arsenal chose Lille’s, Nicolas Pepe, over him last season and hence it’s only fair if he’s once again compared with the 25-year-old.

Wilfried is a 27-year-old forward who plays his trade for Premier League side Crystal Palace. While he can take up multiple positions on the front line, however, he’s predominantly a left-winger. He’s regarded as one of the finest dribblers in the Premier League and can open up closed doors with his athleticism and trickery. However, his defensive contributions, his hold up play and his lack of discipline have all been a cause of concern for his potential employers.

Wilfred Zaha has made 7 goal contributions in the Premier League this season while Nicolas Pepe has made 11 goal contributions for the Gunners in this edition of the Premier League. However, Zaha has once again tormented all his competitions with his phenomenal dribbling numbers as the Ivorian is completing 4.3 successful dribbles per game while Pepe’s 2.3 dribbles per game are absolutely eclipsed by Zaha.

However, Nicolas Pepe has said on 1.3 key passes per game while lacks behind him with just 0.9 key passes per game. Zaha on average makes 28.8 passes per match with a pass competition rate of 81.1% while Pepe makes 22.8 passes per game with a completion rate of 81.4%.

Wilfred Zaha hasn’t had his best season in the Premier League as his numbers have largely gone down since last season, however, this can also result into a decrease in his asking price, making him a more affordable option.
