As the saga continues, Borussia Dortmund director Michael Zorc has disclosed that the club are not planning to sell Jadon Sancho this summer unless his £108million valuation is being met.

Jadon Sancho has travelled with his teammates for a pre-season training camp, and he’s looking likely to remain at the club for next season. The director says:

“We plan with Jadon Sancho,” Zorc said in a press conference. “He will play with us next season. I think that answers all the questions.”

He added: “Last summer we adjusted Jadon’s salary to match the development of his performances. So in context, we had already extended his contract until 2023 back then.”

While Manchester United legend Paul Scholes alongside Owen Hargreaves via BT Sport, spoke on Dortmund’s transfer stance, saying: “As Owen said, they’re just after a little bit more money out of it.

“He’s a great player, but when we talk about £108m, that’s a lot of money to go to… he looks a brilliant player and he’ll improve any team in world football with his assists, his goals.

“The only thing I would say about United is they were desperate for [Erling] Haaland as well and didn’t quite go that extra mile to pay the money they wanted for him there. Will they do this with Sancho?

“I think they will, if Ole desperately wants him, I think they’ll get him.”

And Owen Hargreaves believes that United still have the chance to sign Jadon Sancho, as he claimed that Dortmund’s recent stance pertaining to the transfer negotiations involving the youngster are a “bluff“.

“I think he’ll be a Man United player in a pretty short time.”

When asked about Dortmund director’s statement, Hargreaves opined that: “Trying to get a bit more money out of it, that’s just the nature of the beast.

Obviously they know United are really interested and they’re pretty heavily into negotiations, but I think they’re bluffing – they know he’s going to leave at that price.”

As the saga continues and seeing the iconic jersey No. 7 being made vacant by Alexis Sanchez’s departure to Inter Milan, United fans would be hoping that the highly skillful winger will eventually don the iconic jersey next season, following the footstep of Manchester United legend and compatriot David Beckham.
