Tiemoue Bakayoko is looking to exit Stamford Bridge to join AC Milan, so desperately that he is willing to a pay cut to join the Rossoneri according to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Bakayoko joined The Blues from AS Monaco in 2017 for a huge £40m and was expected to replace the outgoing Nemanja Matić.

But despite playing 43 games in his first full season in West London, Bakayoko failed to make much of a impression.

Subsequent loan moves followed and he spent a season on loan at AC Milan, before making a return to AS Monaco on loan for the whole 2019-20 campaign.

Still contracted up to 2022 with The Blues, it is believed that Frank Lampard does not consider the one capped French International to be a part of his future plans. In 2017, he was quoted as, “He sleeps. His concentration goes and at this level, you sleep for a second and it’s an easy goal for Atletico. I don’t know with Bakayoko. I think it’s well documented that he hasn’t settled quickly at Chelsea and English football in the Premier League as well and he has to come to grips with that. A moment’s sleeping today doesn’t work so he needs to improve.”

The report goes on to say that, The Blues are willing to let go of the midfielder for a fee of £19m with Serie A giants AC Milan and Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain remain interested in his services.

Bakayoko is desperate to return to Milan were he enjoyed a fruitful time under club legend Gennaro Gattuso but evaluation of £19m is considered to be a risk by the Milan hierarchy.

A move to Paris could be more likely as the French champions do have the money and Bakayoko would jump at opportunity to return to the city in which he was born and raised and where he still has plenty of friends and family.
