Manchester United and Transfer sagas have now become a common discourse in the transfer market. Unlike other clubs, the Red Devils are quick to identify their target. However, they almost irregularly fail to get the deal done without taking months and if you’re talking about Bruno Fernandes even another transfer window to get the deal across the line. And when United’s interest in signing Jadon Sancho was reported earlier in the window many expected it to rumble upon for months as it is.

Jadon Sancho’s move to Manchester United is becoming the latest transfer saga. There have been contrasting reports about how close the Red Devils are to closing in on a permanent deal. While Guardian’s Fabrizio Romano has stated above the two clubs being in advanced talks and only left to be negotiating the structure of the deal and add-on fees. According to him, the Manchester giants have agreed on personal terms with Sancho.

However, as per The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the two clubs are still some way off in their valuation of the player and a deal isn’t imminent. Borussia Dortmund has set Manchester United a deadline to make an offer on 10th August. The Premier League outfit is also wary of offering Jadon Sancho a bumper salary as that could cause discontent amongst the squad as happened when Alexis Sanchez was signed for a reported £500,000-a-week wages. The key here is the deadline as the German club has warned Manchester United to make a bid before the given deadline if they had to sign Jadon Sancho in this window.

With more details coming out, it has now been reported that the Premier League giants are not pleased with how Borussia Dortmund are valuing their prized asset even in these times of crisis and Ed Woodward & Co. might back out from a deal if progress is not made.
