Arsenal are reportedly in talks with Willian over a possible switch to north London this summer after the Brazil international rejected another offer from Chelsea.

Willian’s contract with the Blues is set to come to an end after their Champions League encounter with Bayern Munich on Saturday, and Frank Lamaprd’s side are likely to lose him for free.

The winger looks set to bring a close to his seven seasons at the Stamford Bridge after arriving from Anzhi Makhachkala for £27million in August 2013.

He has found the back of the net on 63 occasions while also providing 62 assists in 339 appearances for the Blues during his seven years.

Willian has played a vital role for the club during his spell at west London but the club are yet to meet his demands and is reportedly open to moving on at the end of the season.

Major honours including two Premier League titles, FA Cup title, Europa League triumphs are part of his successes at the club.

Per reports from ace journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 31-year-old has rejected Chelsea’s latest contract offer, with his days at the club numbered.

The player is said to be asking for a three-year long contract but Lampard’s side are only willing to offer him two years to stay at Stamford Bridge.

“Willian has refused another bid from Chelsea to extend his contract until June 2022,” Romano tweeted. “Still no agreement.”

The journalist also added that Mikel Arteta’s side are engaging Kia Joorabchian, who serves as Willian’s agent ahead of a summer switch.

“Arsenal are now in talks with his representatives to sign him as a free agent – no bids from Barcelona at the moment.”

The Gunners have a good relationship with Joorabchian and will be hoping their relationship could play a part in convincing the Chelsea attacker to move to north London.
