Callum Hudson-Odoi is reportedly looking to push for a move out of Chelsea at the end of the 2019/20 season after becoming frustrated with lack of playing time.
The 19-year-old only put pen to paper on a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge last September, which saw his salary increased to a whopping £140,000 a week.
Prior to signing a new deal, Hudson-Odoi was strongly linked with a move to Bayern Munich but Chelsea knocked down calls from the German club.
However, the England international has not been able to establish himself as the key player he was once tipped to be. This has been due to the series of injury concerns he has faced complemented with Chelsea’s quality resources upfront.
Frank Lampard has not given the youngster much of the needed minutes since Maurizio Sarri departed the West London outfit.
After return from the compulsory three months in confinement, the Blues academy graduate has played less than an hour of football for Lampard’s side across all competitions.
According to the latest reports from Sky Sports, Hudson-Odoi is now prepared to push through an exit from Chelsea in the summer transfer window to find a new club if his situation does not take a new turn in the remaining games.
It is said that the winger is also concerned about his place in the team with the signing of both, Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner from Ajax and RB Leipzig respectively in the last few months.
Even with Pedro Rodriguez and Willian in line to leave Chelsea at the end of the season, Hudson-Odoi is still not convinced he may get playing time with the addition of the two.
In the 2019/20 campaign, the winger has played in 31 games across all competitions under Lampard, with 20 of them coming in the Premier League with about much of them being off the bench.
Hudson-Odoi also has four goals and six assists in the games he has played so far this term.
