Allan Saint-Maximin’s brother, and agent, recently revealed that his client has not yet talked to any teams regarding his transfer amid multiple links away from the Magpies.

Newcastle United signed the French winger from OGC Nice back in August last year. He signed a 6-year contract with the Magpies on a €18m transfer and has had a decent first season at St. James Park.

Kurtys Saint-Maximin spoke with Italian news outlet Calcio Napoli dismissing the rumours linking the winger to Serie A side Napoli.

“He is doing well in the Premier League even if it is a very physical championship. I remember that Nice-Napoli for the impact that my brother had with Koulibaly on the field, the blue defender is a very strong and physical player. The Blues are a good team, but I have never talked to them about a possible transfer of Allan Saint-Maximin. Even in the past there have been no contacts.

“If he likes the Neapolitan team? Of course he likes Naples, it is a great club like Juventus, Inter and Milan are in Italy as well.

“I still don’t know his future, it is too early to talk about it but surely he will want to play as a starting player and participate in the Champions League.”

Allan-Saint-Maximin-v-Napoli

Saint-Maximin’s terrific form in the league has helped Newcastle reach 12th with 3 goals and 5 assists, and teeing up the rest of the attackers. The player was earlier linked to a move to Arsenal, but his manager Steve Bruce thoroughly denied the claims. “There’s no chance of Allan leaving, no chance at all. I wouldn’t put a price on Allan now. When you look at the level of money we bought him for, he’s arguably the best pound-for-pound signing in the Premier League. You show me another better. When you look at what he’s produced for us, we have probably got the buy of the season.”

His brilliant dribbling skills, phenomenal pace and ability to bedazzle defenders has made him Newcastle’s main talisman this season. The 23-year-old has been in blistering form since the restart, which has again prompted the rumours linking him to Napoli, PSG and Tottenham.
