Another loan spell at Estudiantes could reportedly be on the cards for Manchester United defender Marco’s Rojo.
The Argentina international joined Estudiantes on loan in the January transfer winder after failing to nail down a regular playing time with the Red Devils during the beginning of the 2019/20 season.
Back in his homeland, the 30-year-old has continued a frustrating time in the campaign, which saw him make only one appearance for El Leon before the coronavirus pandemic forced football into a lockdown.
Rojo’s deal with the Argentine outfit has now expired, with papers alleging he could be heading back to Old Trafford, with his contract there set to expire next summer.
However, there is a likelihood that Estudiantes could take the former Sporting Lisbon left-back on loan for another six months, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team in pole position to hold talks with the player at the end of the month.
Rojo’s time with Manchester United have not been too good to leave a mark, but he has managed 122 appearances in all competitions for the Premier League side.
The arrival of Harry Maguire last summer saw the player pushed down further back in the pecking order, with his new position at centre-back.
The Englishman is said to have in his possession qualities which are not matched by Rojo, leading to the club offloading him temporarily in the winter window.
