Paul Scholes pulls out six players to have a great future at Old Trafford

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes believes six players in the current United squad will have a bright future at the club.

The Red Devils, post Sir. Alex Ferguson’s era have not been at their best in terms of challenging for the Premier League title having to change several mangers who failed to maintain the level.

However, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as manager, United were enjoying a fine moment with 11 games unbeaten run, also qualified for the quarter-final in the Europa league as well as competing for FA Cup trophy before the lockdown caused by the coronavirus.

Solskjaer’s transfer signings have been a massive boost for his side with Bruno Fernandes who in his short spell has been has lifted up the atmosphere at the club, is among the six players to have a bright future according to Paul Scholes.

Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay and Brandon Williams are the other five to make Scholes’ list.

Speaking on MUTV, Scholes said: “There’s so much competition for places now but that’s all part of being a Manchester United player”

“Once you’ve got the shirt you have to try and keep it, you have to perform week in, week out and make sure the player— the good player – waiting behind to get a game that you don’t allow the manager to pick him because of your performance.”

“The future’s bright, I think Ole is doing really well, he’s got a really good attacking team. You think of the players you’ve got, Martial, Rashford, Fernandes, Pogba when he’s back, McTominay – really good young players – Williams coming into it. I think it’s a really exciting time.”

United will play away to Tottenham Hotspurs on June 15, their first match ahead of the Premier League Project Restart with Solskjaer’s side preparing for the massive clash.
