Pep Guardiola’s brother Pere Guardiola has revealed Pep’s coaching dream once he achieves everything in club football. He revealed that Pep dreams of managing a national team one day.

Pep Guardiola had been linked with Brazil and Argentina’s coaching position previously but the Spaniard decided to stay at City. He was linked with managing Messi’s Argentina before 2018 FIFA World Cup but Pep denied those rumours. Now his brother Pere has come out and said that it is his dream to coach a national team one day.

“Pep has the dream of coaching a national team one day,” Pere said in an interview with Globoesporte after his company, Media Base Sports, expanded into Brazil.

“We will see how it goes and if he receives an offer… But it’s not something (that he’s thinking about) in the present.”

Guardiola is repeatedly denied any rumours of him joining a national team and wants to stay at Manchester City. He was linked with five-times world champions Brazil. But the South American giants prefer to have Brazilian managers and don’t work with foreign coaches. When asked about Brazil, Pere said:

“Brazil won everything with Brazilian coaches, I think they are good coaches and it’s not necessary to have a foreign (coach).”

Guardiola’s Manchester City are currently second in the Premier League table, 25 points behind leaders Liverpool. Premier League have decided to restart from June 17 and City will be looking forward to reducing the lead and finish second in the table without any pressure from Leicester, who are third in the table.
