Liverpool’s current deal with New Balance expires at the end of the current campaign and the Reds will probably head into the next season wearing Nike kits.

Liverpool have worn Adidas, Umbro, Warrior and New Balance earlier but this is the first time Liverpool will have Nike as their official kit supplier.

The multi-year move which was announced in January this year, will begin from June 1, 2020, and will see Nike manufacture and supply Liverpool FC’s playing, training and travel wear.

With the 2019/2020 season yet to be wrapped up due to the current stoppage in football, it has pushed back the plans for the unveiling of the new kit. But with the designs ready and printed, Nike have been unable to keep out the kit leaks.

Footy Headlines provided more clearer images of the rumored new 2020/2021 season kit on Twitter on Saturday, after close-up shots of the shirts had been leaked earlier this week.

The images also showed the teal-and-white bands on the collars and along the cuffs and logos of the sponsors Western Union and Standard Chartered.

The home shirt for next season is also set to have the FIFA Club World Cup winners’ patch on it. The Hillsborough ’96’ print will also be present on the upper back, sitting just above the players name and number on the shirt.

Footy Headlines have said that Liverpool’s pre-match warmup kits will be black and red (for home games), teal and black (away) and pink and black (Champions League).

At the time of stoppage of football, Liverpool were 25 points clear at the top of the Premier League table in pursuit of a first top-flight title for 30 years and it is still not decided whether the remaining season will be played out.
