Manchester United’s latest recruit Bruno Fernandes is undoubtedly their best so far after Paul Pogba in their current roaster. The 25-year-old Portuguese midfielder has impressed one and all with his gameplay and is unarguably the glue sticking two sides of his team.

Bruno’s performance against the Hornets last night was a continuation of his 10 minute movie against Club Brugge that had impressed everyone. The midfielder was constructive in 2 of the 3 goals that United scored against Watford; scoring one whole assisting another. Not only that, the playmaker created ample chances to keep the visitors at bay.

His performance in his first three games has been amazing with involvement in 3 goals already. Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has been briefly impressed by the Portuguese and has compared him to his teammate.

And it is none other than ‘Paul Scholes.’

“He reminds me of Scholesy as a player on the field – but he’s definitely a different type of personality off the pitch!” said Solskjaer, as per the Mirror.

“Like Paul, he’s another conductor, a leader and a winner. He wants to win and he doesn’t take 99 per cent as good enough – that’s really impressed me.”

“That’s something you see when you watch him but you don’t really know about until you have him in your group. He’s been absolutely top class.”

“It’s because he wants to win,” Solskjaer added. “But he does it the right way and encourages those around him as well.”

“Even though he was on the bench against Brugge he was walking around speaking to the players who start, he helps them, he gives them points. I’ve been very impressed by him.”

“And the 10 minutes he played in Belgium at the end of the game when we needed some calmness and composure you could say immediately that there was a difference in our team.”

The feat achieved by Paul Scholes for United is surely unparalleled until now but with the way Bruno is playing and the way he has built himself, we may soon see a PaulScholes 2.0.
