Chelsea are preparing a thumping £120 million bid for Jadon Sancho. The Manchester City graduate presently plays for Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund and has risen up the ranks with his exemplary performances.
The Blues are preparing a whopping offer to snatch Sancho from their compatriots as they look to fill the void spot left by Eden Hazard. While Christian Pulisic was expected to do so, he has not been the Dortmund-esque player that he was.
Sancho, however, has been brilliant for the club and has a lot of similarities to that of Eden Hazard with an add-on function of scoring innumerable goals. The Englishman has already scored 9 goals in this Bundesliga season so far and is bidding for more.
Frank Lampard is believed to be a long admirer of Sancho from his days as a City youngster. And according to Sun, it is Lampard who believes that Sancho can fill the void left in by Eden Hazard after his departure to Real Madrid.
Moreover, the huge price tagged attached to Sancho has helped Chelsea a bit by keeping Manchester United and Liverpool at bay. Both the clubs were keeping a long eye on Sancho but his price tag has eventually led them withdraw their interest.
The deal if closed will turn out to be a club-record deal for Chelsea.
