Chelsea are set to tie Willian over a further period of couple of years as they look to prepare for upcoming season with their transfer ban.

Willian has one year left on his current contract and was linked with a move away from the Stamford bridge with Spanish side Barcelona as his likely destination. The Catalonian giants are reportedly interested in signing up Willian once again this season and have lined up a £35 million offer on the table for the Chelsea winger.

But Chelsea has reportedly rejected both the offers and are hoping to keep Willian at the club for a few more seasons by offering him a contract extension for two more years.

Willian arrived at the club from Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013 for a fee of €35m and has since established himself as a regular in the Chelsea side making 292 appearances for the club.

Chelsea will not be able to register any new signings for the next 2 transfer windows but will welcome the arrival of Christian Pulisic who was signed from Borussia Dortmund last January.

Chelsea also lost their star winger Eden Hazard to Real Madrid and Christian Pulisic is seen as the replacement for the Belgian international.
