West Brom Albion may find it hard to keep hold of Craig Dawson with Watford being the latest Premier League club to be linked with a move for 29-year-old veteran.

Dawson is keen to return to the top flight and after West Brom’s failure to gain a promotion to the Premier League last term, Watford has emerged as favourites to sign Craig Dawson from under the nose of Burnley (According to reports by The Sun).

Dawson has been a key presence in the heart of defence for West Brom, ever since returning from a successful spell at Bolton Wanderers where he made a name for himself to be goal-getter despite being a defender.

He surely has proven himself in the Premier League and despite being a integral figure in West Brom’s playoffs qualification, he feels he should compete at the highest level as he enters his 30’s.

Watford are looking for some reinforcements after losing to Manchester City in the FA Cup finals in the recently concluded season although West Brom are in sort of some transition period after appointing Slaven Bilic earlier this month. Its yet to see whether Bilic would let his star defender leave for top flight or would work his magic to make him stay at the Hawthorns.

Dawson has been a concrete presence for West Brom but you can understand his willingness to play in the Premier League. Additionally, he didn’t change boats as soon as West Borm were relegated he did gave some time to see where they stand before deciding to leave for top flight and Watford as well as Burnley prove to be right sort of clubs where he could make some real impact at well.
