Reports claims Premier league Champions Manchester City have begun talks with Serie A champions Juventus over the transfer of £44m rated full back Joao Cancelo.

The report also reveals that City are willing to sell Danilo in order to fund the signing. The defender arrived at the City of Manchester Stadium back in 2017 from La Liga club Real Madrid. Danilo has spent two years at City making a total of 60 appearances across all competitions.

Cancelo arrived at Juventus from Spanish side Valencia in a €40m deal last summer and had a good campaign that saw him notch 5 assists and score 1 goal in 25 league appearances to help Juventus lift another League title.

According to Goal, Negotiations between the English and Italian champions have gone fairly smoothly, and the framework of a deal is already being put in place.

Juventus demanded a fee in the region of €50m for the player and Man City are willing to pay £44m. City are also keen to sell Danilo in order to fund the players signing and Juventus are interested in signing the former Real Madrid player.

Juventus are targeting Tottenham Hotspur’s Kieran Trippier as a replacement for the departing Cancelo and will have to battle against Inter Milan in order to sign Danilo from Manchester City.

Manchester City are expected to announce the signing by the end of the transfer window.
